OUTSTANDING WITH OFSTED AT WEST CHILTINGTON MARCH 2016 AND SULLINGTON JUNE 2013

At Little Bears Pre-Schools we strive to give every child the best possible start in life,  enabling them to reach their full potential. Both of our settings were accredited Outstanding by Ofsted at the lastest inspection and offer the highest quality care in a secure and safe environment.  You are welcome to visit either of our settings.

A child’s experience in early years has a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right, and it provides the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up. When parents choose to use an early years service they want to know that provision will keep their children safe and help them to thrive.

We offer a friendly and caring environment, providing opportunities to learn through play, recognising each child as an individual and helping them to achieve their full potential.   We use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is the framework provided for Early Years settings and ensures we give the best possible care and education to each child.  You are welcome to visit either of our settings.

In our Ofsted report carried out in June 2013 the inspector made the following comments:

“Children make excellent individual progress in their learning due to the superb knowledge that key staff have about individual children”

“Children are well motivated, very eager to join in and demonstrate extremely high levels of concentration due to the extremely effective quality of teaching”

“Children are confident communicators, demonstrating clear speech as their thoughts and ideas are listened to and valued by staff”

“The pre-school staff strongly value partnership working with parents to support children’s continued learning at home.  They value contributions and ideas from families”

“The pre-school staff are committed to driving improvement in the day to day practice and in their own professional development to bring about sustained progress for children”

“Systems for assessment of children’s learning are so precise that any areas of support needed by individual children are very quickly recognised and action taken to reduce any gaps in learning”.
